Dear Parents and Guardians:

On Tuesday, October 18th starting at 1:30 p.m., we will conduct a school wide lock down and reunification drill.  The call will go out that this is a drill, and students will go into lock down.  We expect that this entire drill will last until about 3:00 p.m.

After a short time in lock down, classrooms will be released to leave the building.  The procedure for this is the regular fire drill evacuation.  Students and their teachers will go to Briggsdale Fire Station #1 which is where the reunification practice will be housed.  As a part of our reunification plan, buses will pick up students up as they are walking toward the fire station.

We are practicing this to be prepared in the event of an emergency.  The same reunification procedures would be in place for other emergencies, also.  For example, in an emergency, students would not be released to any person other than those listed on the Emergency Card.  Parents would also be requested to show identification in order to pick up their student.

If you have questions, please email me at the school at mrsfulton@briggsdaleschool.org.

Thank you for your help.

Cathi Fulton, Principal
