Congratulations on making it to the state championships at University of Northern Colorado this coming Thursday – Saturday, March 10-12, 2022.  Here are some reminders.  The 1A tournament is hosted at Bank of America Arena at Butler-Hancock Athletics Center at the University of Northern Colorado.   Address:  Butler-Hancock Athletics Center, 270 Alles Drive D, Greeley, CO 80631

Parking is free in Lots L, M, and Y.  Buses will park in Lot Y.  These lots are located on the west side of Butler-Hancock.  Entry doors for spectators are on the west side of Butler-Hancock. 

Tickets may be purchased in person or online at https://gofan.co/app/school/CHSAA.  All Session Passes may be purchased online only.  The regular price of tickets is $12, and student and senior tickets cost $8. If a spectator decides to leave a session, they must get a wrist band.  A wrist band is the only way to gain re-admittance for a session.

Gates for the morning session open at 7:45.  Gates for the afternoon session open as soon as the facility is cleared from the morning session.

The higher seed will be the home team.  The home team bench will be the bench to the right of the scorer’s table (when sitting at the scorer’s table looking at the court).

The Budweiser Events Center has a clear bag policy for spectators which will be strictly enforced.

To continue providing a safe environment for our guests and our staff as well as significantly accelerate entry into the arena, the Budweiser Events Center has implemented a policy limiting the type of bag and dimensions of those bags brought into the venue. Exclusions to this policy will be made for medically necessary items after a thorough inspection. While guests are encouraged to not bring any type of bags to the venue to expedite the entry process, they will be able to enter the Budweiser Events Center with the following style and size bag: • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” W x 12” H x 6” D • One-gallon clear plastic bags (Ziplock or similar) are permitted • One (1) personal item such as a small clutch or wallet not exceeding 4.5” x 6.5” in size may be brought into the arena • Guests are allowed one (1) large clear bag – either the 12” W x 12” H x 6” D clear bag or one-gallon Ziploc style bag – plus one (1) small personal item Prohibited items include but are not limited to: purses larger than a small clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, computer bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Just like at state volleyball, programs are available online only.  Also, if shirts have been sold through the school or a private party, they cannot be distributed inside the tournament site.  Kukluski Brothers is the only official seller of state tournament apparel.
