Positive Covid tests have been reported in our district, and we want to inform our community of how it effects their students.
The length of time students miss school is based on a number of factors all coming together.
We start tracking students and staff to see if they are considered close contacts. A close contact is a person within 3 to 6ft of the infected person for 15 minutes throughout the day.
When someone is a close contact depending upon vaccinations and mask wearing, it dictates the time a student or staff is held out of school.
We will contact families when their child has an exposure and inform them of our tracing or tracking investigation.
